W.S. Badcock to Deploy WorkForce Software for Retail to Entire Workforce

LIVONIA, Mich., October 24, 2005 – W.S. Badcock contracted WorkForce Software to provide enterprise time and attendance for its retail locations, distribution centers, drivers, mattress factory and corporate offices. The WorkForce Software solution for retailers will help W.S. Badcock automate their current manual time collection and leave reporting methods while standardizing and fully automating the application of pay policies and workforce processes for all employees.

W.S. Badcock was established in 1904 and is a retailer offering the latest in home furnishings with over 330 retail locations within the United States. WorkForce Software for Retail will be implemented as a full suite web-based application for time and attendance, scheduling, accruals, FMLA, employee self-service and data collection.  WorkForce Software was selected unanimously over the competition following an extensive review by the evaluation team because of the product's flexibility and technology platform and the company’s industry expertise and commitment to delivering leading edge industry solutions.

"We've been looking for a workforce management solution for many years,” stated Luis Rivera , Director of Business Solutions Group for W.S. Badcock. “ After evaluating several products from the top vendors in the workforce management space we came to the conclusion that the WorkForce Software solution was flexible enough to meet our needs and at the same time was in line with the technology roadmap of our IT department. "

WorkForce Software delivers significant benefits to W.S. Badcock and other retailers. The application’s web-based interface allows remote locations with limited bandwidth constraints to perform all workforce processes online through a web browser. Multiple data collection options including POS integration, data collection terminals, web-based “time clocks”, and online timesheets meet the needs of a very diverse workforce. Out of the box business rules provide for a fast implementation and ensure 100% company and governmental pay rule compliance. Most importantly, product features such as leave management, online time off requests, employee self service, expense/commission reporting and scheduling allow 100% of the workforce management process to be automated through a standard web browser both at the management and at the employee level.

“We are very happy to have Badcock as our newest client – and our first in the Retail sector. Badcock’s selection of WorkForce Software further validates the extraordinary power and flexibility of our application and its ability to address the complex requirements of virtually any industry,” commented WorkForce Software’s VP of Sales, Stan Starkey.
