Mike Morini, CEO of WorkForce Software, talks with Workplace Wellbeing and lays out the current state of support for deskless workers and specifically mental health support, noting the latest data shows that 1 in 7 people experience mental health problems at work.

However, while most offices now feature mental health first-aiders and some even promote “wellbeing days,” frontline and deskless workers are often not afforded the same support. Morini delivers data around how the lack of schedule control for deskless workers is a contributing factor. He gives real solutions through the form of modern technology and the importance of investing in the technology that essential deskless workers use at work every day.

Pointing to data, Morini indicates that studies have also shown that businesses that prioritise employee wellbeing have a 12% higher productivity rate, signaling that better mental health support can lead to increased productivity and, consequently, better business performance.

“Business leaders must recognise that mental health support is not just for office workers,” says Morini. “Deskless workers, who are often at greater risk of poor mental health and stress, require the same level of support and resources. By investing in technology that supports employee wellbeing, business leaders can create a healthier workplace and drive success for both their business and their employees.”
