According to Deloitte, 32% of the global workforce is now comprised of Gen Z, creating an inter-generational divide and highlighting the need for a transformation in engagement strategies. Sandra Moran, Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer at WorkForce Software talks with Forbes highlighting that a one-size fits all approach is not sustainable in today’s workplace as organizations are managing five generations of workers.
“For the first time in history, organizations are managing five generations of workers in their current workforce (Silent Generation, Baby Boomers, Generation X, Millennials and Gen Z)—each bringing unique strengths, perspectives and motivations,” Moran points out.
As the workforce ages, midlife professionals are actively reinventing themselves to thrive in today’s workforce. “Employees contemplating mid-to-stage career changes should also be looking for employers who offer more benefit options, evidence that your experience will be valued and that the company can create a work experience that meets your personal and professional objectives,” Moran advises.
