Inside VISION25: New Features, Expert Insights, and Lasting Connections

This year’s VISION conference brought a fresh wave of collaboration and innovation to our community of workforce management professionals. It was easy to see the theme, UNTETHERED, taking hold of attendees as they broadened their perspectives to bring back fresh ideas to improve their places of work.

In direct response to customer feedback, WorkForce Software enhanced VISION25 with expanded, hands-on sessions, expert insights and roundtables tailored to specific industries, and more WorkForce Academy solution training. Our goal—to enable every participant, with guidance and supportive community backing, to navigate workforce complexities and maximize their software investment.

In this final blog in our three-part series, discover the exciting new features that made this year’s event better than ever—and look back on blogs one and two for more coverage of the event.

Expanded WorkForce Academy Training Opportunities

The WorkForce Academy addressed the growing appetite for in-depth training beyond our traditional pre-conference sessions. The new half-day sessions covered:

  • Troubleshooting End of Period Processing
  • Modifying Bank Rules
  • WorkForce Formula Language in Policy Editor
  • Job Scheduling Database Schema

“I really appreciated being able to walk through the examples in a more condensed environment without the extra ‘noise’ in the system. Then, still having the true testing instance that the examples can be run in later. Overall, this was the best training material I’ve seen in the WorkForce Software training I’ve taken.”

Industry Roundtables

Back by popular demand, the industry roundtables were the perfect opportunity for participants to share best practices, address challenges, and build valuable connections unique to their industries.

Manufacturing (Sponsored by HR Path)

This conversation covered a wide range of manufacturing sectors. Participants discussed new strategies for labor allocation and project tracking using new workforce management processes:

“We plan to have our manufacturing and shop floor users scan their badges to clock in and then scan a bar code that will track the labor distribution. This gives us a better idea of what they are spending their time on.”

Public Sector (Sponsored by HRchitect)

Public Sector participants explored innovative workforce management strategies, tackled the complexities of working with multiple labor unions, including adapting to flexible work environments, and how they use WorkForce Classic and Suite to manage multiple roles for one employee.

“You have to be adaptable and find ways to help people in your organization who are resistant to future advancements embrace the new solutions.”

Natural Resources (Sponsored by Accenture)

This session connected representatives from mining and oil/gas industries, including longstanding WorkForce customers since 2003. The group focused on the use of gate clocks in some facilities, with insights shared on best practices for implementation. The concept of feeder time entry systems was highlighted, and it was noted that the WorkForce Suite enables this functionality through the Clock API.

“Accurate tracking of time and attendance is a huge importance to the natural resource industry.”

Logistics and Distribution (Sponsored by SAP)

This group of experts in transportation, logistics, distribution, and warehousing exchanged valuable best practices, collaborated on shared challenges, and broadened their global network.

“In our warehouses, we use WorkForce Software to lock down our complex policies and rules to handle guaranteed time scenarios.”

Business & Consumer Services (Sponsored by EPI-USE)

Leaders from business services, finance, telecommunications, media, retail, and hospitality discussed success strategies for implementation, particularly the value of communicating change processes with employees, using tiered rollout waves, and successful requirements gathering.

“Don’t be afraid to ask if the software can do something. If you have something you’re doing manually, there could be value there and something we can do to automate the process.”

As we look back on VISION25:UNTETHERED, it’s clear that the event’s impact will resonate far beyond its closing moments. The insights, collaboration, and support shared throughout the conference have laid a strong foundation for continued growth and innovation within our community. We’re excited to see how attendees will apply what they’ve learned, driving positive change in their organizations and strengthening their workforce strategies.

Thank you to everyone who joined us—your passion and engagement are what make this community thrive. We look forward to building on this momentum together and can’t wait to see what we accomplish by the time we gather again next year.
