Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MLSE) is one of the world’s premier sports and entertainment companies. Their goal is to continuously support their mission of delivering world-class events for fans.
The challenge
MLSE employs around 600 full-time salaried and 3,150 hourly unionized and non-unionized people working in various positions and departments across nine locations. Some employees work more than one position, often across multiple locations and with different pay rates.
Most hourly MLSE employees are members of one of five unions and abide by one of eight collective bargaining agreements (CBAs), whereas salaried employees are non-unionized. With such a diverse workforce, MLSE needed a modern solution to efficiently manage its scheduling, time and attendance processes.
The solution
Since implementing ADP® WorkForce Suite, Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment has reduced manual, error-prone time and attendance and scheduling processes with a system that securely and reliably integrates with Workday HCM.
This automation dramatically minimized time capture errors, improved workforce management practices and helped reduce compliance risk. MLSE also increased scheduling efficiency for both employees and the scheduling department, reducing unplanned overtime by 60%.
“With ADP WorkForce Suite and its usability, it’s really been easy for us to promote the idea of being a fan of the systems we use and the benefits they bring to employees.”
