The Inaugural WorkForce Dream Builder Experience
In partnership with GENYOUth.org’s innovative youth social entrepreneurship program (AdVenture Capital), WorkForce Software went on a search to find star students in the Detroit metro area to be a part of our inaugural class of #WFSDreamBuilders16. We asked students to propose their best ideas on how they could make their schools more conducive to health and wellness. After a strict interview and selection process, 8 students were invited to participate in the WorkForce Dream Builder Experience 2016 – a two day workshop at our Livonia, MI headquarters.
Our CEO Mike Morini kicked off the session with a bang—with a welcome video message from NFL Super Bowl Champion, Emmy Award Winner & NYT Best Selling Author Michael Strahan. Morini also gave autographed copies of Michael Strahan’s book, Wake Up Happy, to the 8 students. Other speakers included Alexis Glick, CEO of GENYOUth.org, Joe Jordan, CMO of Dominos Pizza and many members of WorkForce Software’s executive leadership team.
In addition to speaking with leaders across the business, the students also received mentorship help from WorkForce Software’s own employees and participated in team bonding activities such as yoga and other fun challenges.
Overall, it was a transformational experience for the students and we can’t wait to see their final projects!
