Top 3 Reasons to Attend VISION 2020

Countdown to VISION 2020 Is Just 32 Days!

This year, the WorkForce Software team was planning to host nearly 500 attendees in beautiful Austin, TX. Unfortunately, obstacles unfold and plans can change—but we are always ready to roll with the punches! Because WorkForce Software’s top priority is ensuring the safety and well-being of our customers, employees, and partners in addition to our collective families and wider communities, we’ve decided to take the VISION 2020 conference virtual this year

The VISION Team saw that our attendee numbers barely changed even with the COVID-19 pandemic’s initial disruption, and we quickly realized that there was still a strong demand from our customer base to keep the VISION conference alive in 2020—whatever that would look like. Over the years, our attendees have certainly come to expect a lot from usSince 2015, we’ve brought together over 1,500 customers, partners, and analysts with nearly 300 WorkForce Software experts for 150+ breakout sessions, countless networking opportunities, some especially interesting local experiences, and even a larger-than-life New Orleans parade. We can certainly assure you that VISION 2020 will bring the same energy and excitement as years passed.

Here are the top 3 reasons why you should mark your calendar for September 2930:

1. Exciting Agenda Line-Up

Just like every year, we’ll be bringing you up to speed on our latest innovations, providing workforce management best practices, offering the opportunity for industry and peer-to-peer networking, helping you level up your skills with product-focused sessions, giving you the chance to chat with our experts and the WorkForce family, and so much more! Each session will be broadcasting live to you at home! Don’t miss out on our exciting agenda:

  • Connect face-to-face with WorkForce Software experts and leadership
  • Discover inspirational and helpful speakers during our breakout sessions
  • Take a deep dive into our latest product innovations and help us shape the future with WorkForce LABS
  • Networking opportunities—our motto is ‘physically distancing but socially connecting’

2. The Virtual Experience

Getting the chance to connect with the WorkForce Team and your peers is one of the most valuable aspects of VISION and even though the conference is virtual, you will still have the opportunity to network and meet even more people in your community.

Similar to networking at one of our social events, this year we’ll be offering virtual network speed dating! Enter into the networking module to be matched with another attendee and feel free to chat anywhere from 30 seconds to 3 minutes before spinning the wheel again to find a new networking buddy.

3. Hear from a Past VISION Attendee

Sandra Matthew, Senior Principal Business Analyst at Boehringer Ingelheim, has been a VISION attendee in both Phoenix, AZ and Denver, CO, this year to be her third time attending the conference. As a ‘testing guru,’ Sandra has always made sure to take advantage of our certification training courses offered at VISION and even became the leader of our Northeast User Group due to an opportune seating arrangement next to Denise Broady, WorkForce Software’s COO, at Sandra’s first VISION conference.

Sandra is normally accompanied to VISION by 2-3 additional colleagues from Boehringer Ingelheim and strongly believes that VISION offers something for everyone, “I think it’s great to have someone from the HR side and someone from the IT side because you really get to see things from different perspectives. I see it from the technical side of ‘who can I rub elbows with to learn more about the policy editor or how I can better our system performance? On the HR side you get to learn about the pet peeves that HR professionals tend to have and it’s a great opportunity for companies to help each other, communicate together, and find ways to successfully hold their people accountable.”

Sandra on what she loves most about her VISION experience:

“I love the special event that Mike and his team puts on. It’s a great way to relax, let your hair down, and reward yourself. I don’t think we (the attendees) always get enough pats on the back. We work hard, we play hard, but we don’t celebrate all the time, so I really look forward to what he and his team have planned. So far, it’s been fabulous.

Second, I really enjoy the general session. I love Mike’s introduction, the inspirational speaker, fireside chats, and the videos that they’ve made from the night before where you get to see all of the friendly faces in the room. It really pumps you up for the whole conference.

And third is a toss between meeting the experts and attending courses in person. Rubbing elbows with the experts is very beneficial because you get to bring a list of questions. Even though we have an AMS support model and can always open tickets, there’s just so much more you can get by sitting next to an expert and having somebody’s ear.”
